The patches in this directory are used to link the CPU Jitter random number
generator with other libraries or applications. None of them alter or even
apply to the code of the CPU Jitter random number generator.

The following list explains which patches apply to what consumer.

libgcrypt 1.6.0
===============

1. Set the compilation flag LIBGCRYPT in jitterentropy-base-user.h

2. copy the following files to libgcrypt/random directory:
	jitterentropy-base.c
	jitterentropy.h
	jitterentropy-base-user.h
	jitterentropy-gcry-user.c

3. apply patch libgcrypt-jent-1.6.0.diff

4. Use gcry_control(GCRYCTL_SET_CPU_JITTER_ENTROPY, 1) to enable it. Any
   seeding or reseeding of the currently used random number generator uses
   the CPU Jitter random number generator instead the /dev/?random file
   on a Linux system.

5. Use gcry_control(GCRYCTL_SET_CPU_JITTER_ENTROPY, 0) to disable it.
   In this case, the operation reverts back to the old behavior of using
   /dev/?random.

OpenSSL 1.0.1
=============

1. Set the compilation flag OPENSSL in jitterentropy-base-user.h

2. copy the following files to crypto/rand directory:
	jitterentropy-base.c
	jitterentropy.h
	jitterentropy-base-user.h

3. apply patch openssl-1.0.1c.patch

Linux Kernel 3.9
================

The patch is intended to connect the CPU Jitter RNG with /dev/random.

1. copy the following files to the crypto directory:
	jitterentropy-base.c
	jitterentropy.h
	jitterentropy-base-kernel.h

2. apply patch linux-3.9-random.patch
